McLaren have come in for a fair amount of criticism for their pit stops this season, however it was a different story in Germany last weekend.
The Woking based outfit got it just right at Hockenheim, setting a blisteringly fast time of 2.4 seconds when Jenson Button pitted.
The time was the fastest ever recorded in Formula One, and got Button out in the nick of time to move ahead of Sebastian Vettel and into second place.
McLaren have frustrated both of their drivers previously this term, making simple errors that have cost them valuable time and track position.
As this video shows the mistakes have resulted in much work, which has paid off.
Here Button and Vettel’s stops are compared side by side, showing how the smallest details can pay dividends on race day.
