finished top of Free Practice Three, in what proved to be a very busy session

The Championship leaders’ time of 1.32.167 was enough to secure top spot from and , who completed the top three.

, , , Pastor Maldonado, Sergio Perez, and Nico Hulkenberg completed the top ten, all within a second of the lead..

Unlike both the 1st and 2nd practice events, FP3 proved to be very busy, as the rain eased off allowing teams, and drivers, to get a feel for in dry conditions.

The home crowd had much to cheer about, as Button came in second fastest, with teammate, Hamilton, managing 6th spot.

FP1 victor, Romain Grosjean, secured third in the , which again looks competitive ahead of qualifying.

The session went by without much in the way of incident, except for Charles Pic’s grinding to a halt at the mid-way point of the session. The Russian team will be hoping to end the week well after test driver, ’s accident.

The focus will now switch to Qualifying this afternoon with drivers, and spectators, hoping the bad weather that marred Friday’s proceedings will hold off.
