Timo Glock has officially ruled himself out of a move away from Marussia, according to reports from F1Today.net.
The German’s career has stagnated somewhat since his time with Toyota, and he has once again struggled this term at the back of the grid.
In theory, there are many seats available for next season, with Ferrari looking to replace Felipe Massa, and Lewis Hamilton’s future at McLaren still unclear.
One move could trigger a merry-go-round within the sport, but Glock has ruled himself out of being in the mix, insisting he is happy at Marussia.
“I know how my future looks.” Said the 30-year-old
Glock went onto confirm he was under contract with the Russian outfit until at least the end of 2013, and was cagey when asked if he would consider any other offers.
The German racer almost moved to the now Lotus-Renault team in 2009, but instead elected to sign with Virgin, due to a lack of clarity over their plans.
If he has elected to drive for the Black and Gold team, he could be challenging for points regularly, but he insists that he has no regrets as to the decision he made.
“No. In the same situation, I would do the same now.
“If I make a decision, and I know why I made the decision, then there’s no point whining or wondering ‘what if’ afterwards. Only I know the situation as it was then, no one else. So what I decided was absolutely correct,”
Glock is yet to register a point in 2012, as Marussia sit one place above the foot of the table.
