RE. Brass tube and rod stock for working door and trunk hinges

After some onilne research I found the info I needed on the sizes of brass tubing and rod for fabricating working door and trunk hinges. The sizes are as follows. Brass tubing is 3/32nd" o.d. with a wall thickness of .006" and an i.d. of .082". The brass rod stock is .081" o.d. The rod fits perfectly into the tube with no sloppiness at all. These materials are a little pricey when purchased from K&S. You may be able to find them at your local hobby store in smaller sizes and quantities for a fee you can afford on your specific budget. I have used these materials before and they work very well. These items can be found at K&S Presion Metals. http://www.ksmetals.com/index.html       I dont know if or how much this will help anybody but I thought it may be useful to have this info readily available. It may be handy for someone trying their first door opening project. If I can figure out how to post pics here I will post a tutorial on the whole process from begining to end. Or maybe someone else knows the technique I am speaking about and can post some pics of it. Where you cut the tube a little shorter than the door height insert the rod and bend it into the hinge glue the tube to the inside of the fender well making sure not to glue the tube and rod together and then glue the rod to the inside of the door panel. Thus creating the hinge. Hope this is in someway helpful.
